A bunch of former Indians had busy days in the Dominican League. The IBI’s Daniel Sherriff takes you in a special Thanksgiving edition of Around the Farm.

Ronny Rodriguez (3B, Aguilas Cibaenas) – 1-3, 1 R, 1 3B – Ronny-Rod had a good night. He got the scoring started for Aguilas Cibaenas with a triple to right field in the third inning. Francisco Mejia (DH, Estrellas Orientales) – 0-3, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 SO – Mejia didn’t get a hit but he did play a big role in the four-run fifth inning. The designated hitter lofted a sac fly to right field to push the lead to 3-1 for Estrellas Orientales.

Later on he showed patience at the plate and worked a bases-loaded walk to put his team up 5-4 in sixth inning.

MEXICAN PACIFIC LEAGUE (LMP)

Aguilas de Mexicali 0, Sultanes de Monterrey 3

FORMER INDIANS

Michael Choice (LF, Aguilas de Mexicali) – 0-3, 2 SO – The left fielder didn’t get a hit but did reach base in the eighth inning on a fielding error by the third baseman for Sultanes de Monterrey.

Jeff Johnson (RP, Sultanes de Monterrey) – 2.0 IP, 1 SV, 1 H, 0 R/ER, 1 BB, 2 SO – The righty was called on for the six-out save on Thursday.
