Daniel Espino (SP, Lake County): 6.2IP, 2H, 10K – Espino finished the regular season with a bang. He has gone 13.1 innings his last two starts with 20 strikeouts and no walks allowed.

Gabriel Arias (SS, Columbus): 3-4,2B, 2 R, 2 RBI – Arias has 28 doubles this year now and has put together back to back three hit efforts.

Trenton Brooks (1B, Columbus): 2-5, HR, 3 RBI -The homer gave Brooks 12 on the year. He had eight career homers coming into the season.

Thomas Ponticelli (SP, Akron): 5IP, 6H, ER, BB, 6K – Ponticelli turned in a huge performance for Akron. They needed the win to maintain control of their own playoff status heading into today and the pitcher who has been both a starter and a reliever this year came through in a big way.

Aaron Pinto (RP, Akron): 2IP, H, BB, 3K – The control artists reliever came in to get the final six outs in a high pressure situation in a week where Akron’s bullpen has floundered.

Johnathan Englemann (RF, Akron): 2-4 2B, 3B, RBi – Englemann drove in the sixth run of the game to put things on ice for Akron.

Jake Fox (3B, ACL): 2-2, 2R, RBI, BB – Fox has done nothing but hit to start his career in the ACL.

Best of the rest

Richie Palacios (2B, Columbus): 2-4, 2B, R, RBi, BB – Palacios hasn’t hit for as much power in Columbus as he was in Akron but his on-base skills have remained intact and he now has 31 doubles on the year.

Steven Kwan (CF, Columbus): 2-6, 3B, R – Kwan has 29 extra base hits in 67 games this season with his triple in Columbus’ win.

Brayan Rocchio (SS, Akron): 2-4, 2B, 2 R – Rocchio has an 11 game hit streak and continues to power Akron’s offense.

Raynel Delgado (2B, Lake County): 1-2, HR, 2 RBi, BB – It’s been a rough year for Delgado but he now has three homers this week and has played a huge role in keeping Lake County’s playoff hopes alive until the final day.

Micah Pries (LF, Lake County): 1-4, HR – Pries has struggled after a hot start in Lake County and had three strikeouts in this one but also a big homer in the big win.

Jorge Burgos (RF-DH, Lynchburg): 3-8, 2 RBI – Burgos drove in two of the Hillcats three runs in Game 1.

Matt Turner (SP, ACL): 2IP, H, BB, 4K- – Turner is rehabbing from TJ and made a solid final appearance of 2021.

Damon Cassetta-Stubbs (RP, ACL): IP, K – This was the first and what looks to be the only appearance by Cassetat-Stubbs in Cleveland’s system this year. He was acquired in the Jake Bauers trade back in May and hasn’t been active all year until this game.

Angel Genao (2B, DSL Blue): 1-4, RBi – Genao drove in the only run of the game in the final DSL game of the season for both of Cleveland’s affiliates there.

Javier Tovar (SP, DSL Blue): 5IP, 7K H, BB – The longest and best start of the season for the 5’10 19 year old.

Bienvenido Polanco (SP, DSL Red): 5IP, 2H, 6 K – This was also Polonaco’s longest and best start of the season.
